A popular vlogger, who uses a filter to make herself look decades younger, accidentally exposed her real face when a technical glitch occured during her livestream and exposed her to be a middle-aged woman.
The vlogger, known as "Her Royal Highness Qiao Biluo", was livestreaming on July 25 when a technical glitch caused her beauty filter to vanish. She went from looking like a woman in her early twenties to a middle-aged woman. It has now been revealed that she's 58.
Before the glitch, the vlogger had over 135,000 followers on Douyu, a Chinese livestreaming app. Her fans referred to her as "cute goddess" with a "cute and healing voice".

During the livestream, Biluo had been discussing whether or not to grant a fan's petition to remove the beauty filter she uses. She was saying that she needed 100,00 Yuan worth of gifts to show her face and even told her followers that she's a good-looking host.
Unfortunately for her, as she was speaking, a technical glitch caused the filter to go off and her real face was exposed.

Her followers were disappointed and called her out for deceiving them. Some called her "grandma" and some accused her of using the filter to con men for their money.
She has now confessed that she's 58 years old.
Fortunately for her, the glitch, rather than destroy her online career, appeared to enhance it. Initially, she lost a number of her male followers but her popularity soon soared and as at Wednesday night, July 31, she already has 985,000 followers on Douyu. Most of the followers expressed their love for her and left encouraging messages to drown out comments from the trolls.
She has also started taking sponsorship from companies selling beauty software and she announced on Tuesday, July 30, that she will record a music album.

This is my last AFCON – Mikel

Captain John Mikel Obi has vowed to make his last Africa Cup of Nations one to remember for Nigeria and believes his presence in the squad could be a crucial factor in their bid for success.
The midfielder, 32, concedes this will certainly be his last appearance on the continental showpiece event and possibly for his country.
“It’s been an amazing ride for me in the national team,” Mikel told BBC Sport.
Obviously winning the Nations Cup in South Africa was the high point, that’s why I want to help this young team to hopefully achieve their dreams
“Thirteen years I think is enough. I’ve won trophies, I’ve had a lot of amazing time. I think it’s time for these young guys to carry on.
“I’m mostly here in Egypt to support the young guys and make sure they’re on the right track.
“I think my presence is always important for them, hopefully I can finish with the trophy.”
Mikel has won a total of 89 caps for Nigeria, playing for them in the past two World Cups and helping the Super Eagles win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
He also helped Nigeria finish third at the 2006 and 2010 Nations Cups.
He has made two appearances for his country at the ongoing tournament in Egypt, but missed their last-16 tie through injury as Nigeria secured a quarter-final date against South Africa with a 3-2 win over bitter rivals Cameroon.
Now Mikel is determined to play a part in Nigeria’s quest for a fourth continental title.
“If I’m fit, I’d love to play in the quarterfinal, but no need to rush,” he added.
“Hopefully if we can make it to the semi-finals I’ll probably be ready then and help the team if I’m needed.
A finalist with the youth side at the under-20 World Cup in 2005, the former Chelsea player believes he has had a successful run for the West African nation.
“Obviously winning the Nations Cup in South Africa was the high point, that’s why I want to help this young team to hopefully achieve their dreams,” he said.
“If we are able to win it here, I’ll be proud and they’ll be proud, then they can carry on from here.”
He was also one of Nigeria’s three over-age players as the African side won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Mexico Beats USA To Capture Gold Cup Title

Mexico’s Jonathan dos Santos scored in the 73rd minute to give his side a 1-0 win over the United States in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final on Sunday.
The victory over the defending champions at Chicago’s Soldier Field earned Mexico a record-extending eighth title at the biennial tournament, which crowns the continental champions of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
“This was what we came here for,” said Mexico’s Andres Guardado.
“We did it and in an unforgettable setting. We’re very happy. The whole team was spectacular.”
Mexico took control midway through the second half and got their goal when Dos Santos received a back-heel pass from Raul Jimenez and fired home off the underside of the bar.
The United States had a series of corners late in the game and in the 87th minute one delivery caused havoc in the Mexico box but Hector Moreno made a big block with his face to preserve their lead.
The hosts threw everyone forward in the two minutes of stoppage time but Mexico held firm to reclaim the title they last won in 2015.
“I thought we had a good start to the game. If anything the beginning of the second half wasn’t what it needed to be,” said American midfielder Michael Bradley.
“They were able to get some momentum and got their goal. Tough way to lose.”
The game got off to a frenetic start and it was the United States who had the better chances early on while Mexico, who entered the tournament as favourites, looked shaky at the back as they weathered the early storm.
Christian Pulisic nearly opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he used his speed to break in alone after a smart through ball from Jozy Altidore but was denied by a brilliant save from Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
Moments later Tim Ream found Altidore with a ball over the top and the striker, with only Ochoa to beat, put his left-footed effort wide.
Tempers flared after the break when Moreno pushed Altidore over and then dropped onto his back. American Weston McKennie quickly jumped in and several players converged but no cards were issued.
A U.S. corner in the 51st minute saw Jordan Morris power a header on target but Guardado headed the ball off the line. McKennie’s follow-up shot was then blocked by a sea of bodies and while the Americans claimed handball the referee waved away the appeals.
Mexico suddenly moved up a gear and after creating a number of chances Dos Santos finally broke the deadlock to set his side on their way to victory.

I won’t be here if I didn’t love tennis — Serena

SERENA Williams has stated that passion is what pushes her to keep playing tennis at the highest level.
For the American, it’s everything. “I absolutely would not be here if I didn’t love what I do. I work really hard at what I do every day. So, yeah, it’s hard to do something for this long if you don’t have a true love for it. I think it’s been consistent. I think in the past few years it gets to be a lot more, which is really intense.” Asked an opinion about the age eligibility as Cori Gauff, who has reached the fourth round, can play only a certain amount of events at 15 years of age, Serena added: “I don’t know.
“I can’t really comment on that because I can’t really experience that. I do know when I was younger, I was limited to tournaments. I also was able to go to school and be able to do things that I’ll never get back.
“I don’t know. I don’t know what to say about it.” Asked what made her decide to play mixed doubles with Andy Murray, Serena added: “We talked about it a little bit before. It made sense for me because I really could use some matches at this point.
“It made sense for him. We both want to do well. We both love Wimbledon. Yeah, so it was definitely something that we thought we could do. I think Andy is a great player like I said. I think he is mentally one of the toughest players out there.
I don’t even know what goes on in his mind. I know what goes on in mine, my mind. It’s always interesting to hear what other champions think, how you can play that to your game — apply it to your game. It’s only a win-win situation for me.

PDP Blasts Buhari’s Appointments, President Only Interested In Personal Comfort

Following recent appointments announced by the presidency, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sunday berated President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for alleged insensitivity to the welfare of the people of the country.
It also alleged that Buhari had abandoned Nigerians to their fate and was only interested in the appointment of aides to serve his immediate personal comfort and necessities.
This allegations were made by the spokesman of the opposition party, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement made available to newsmen, in Abuja.
Ologbondiyan added, “The party described as highly unfortunate that at a time millions of Nigerians are hurting and suffering untold hardship due to lack of attention to critical sectors of our economy and national life, President Buhari is only concerned about his personal needs.
“The PDP says such unpatriotic and self-centered acts, which is a direct slap on the sensitivity of the citizens, are only associated with leaders who do not have the mandate of the people but found themselves in office as beneficiaries of manipulated elections.
“That is why at the time Nigerians expect urgent interventions on critical issues of national insecurity and uncertainties; kidnapping and bloodletting; high costs of food and essential services; lack of affordable healthcare, decayed infrastructure and excruciating poverty in the land, President Buhari and his handlers are more interested in appointing house keepers and managers of social events that has only to do with him.”
Further, PDP urged Nigerians to note that this development and the alleged general
lethargy in governance was a weighty effect of the validity challenge that confronts governance in the nation following the alleged rigging of the 2019 Presidential election.
The PDP spokesman claimed that such unseriousness further amplifies the alleged insensitivity and incompetence of the Buhari Presidency.
Also, the party said the scenario as it portrayed are indications of the alleged
deplorable situation that might further befall the nation under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dear Son,
Turning 18 is a big deal as it offers you the freedom and liberty to be your own man but you know you’re never really going to be ever free from me right? Oh, just ask your Uncles, big brothers and sister -lol.
I know how confusing the next few years will be for you as you straddle boyhood and manhood at the same time but I hope I have been a good enough father and steered you in the right direction.
I pray for you to be a good man, even when people are not watching, that is INTEGRITY.
I pray that you do deeds that will help others, even if no one knows you did them, that is KINDNESS.
I pray you are quick to share not only what you have, but what you know, that is GENEROSITY.
I pray that you treat everyone as equal, irrespective of their social status, that is RESPECT.
I pray that you remember that every woman is to be treated like they are precious, because they all are, that is BEING A MAN.
I pray that you never use your voice or physical strength to intimidate anyone (male/female), that is REAL STRENGTH.
I pray that you’re not afraid to speak the truth, even as a lone voice, that is CONFIDENCE.
I pray you spend only what you can afford, and not be pressured to live for the gram, that is WISDOM.
I pray that you do not glorify crime, drugs, alcohol abuse and other forms of debauchery just to appear cool and lit, that is UPRIGHTNESS.
More importantly, I pray you remember that you’re God’s son and live in ways to make Him proud.
Son, being 18 gives you the right to make choices but it does not absolve you of consequences so be careful the choices you make.

Why Kogi Needs Feminist As Governor – PDP Female Aspirant

According to Adejoh, she would have waited for the next four years, but for the ’emergency situations in the state’, she is contesting on the platform of the PDP.
A female gubernatorial aspirant, Princess Iye Grace Adejoh, has explained that Kogi State has found itself in an emergency situation that needed a female person to rescue it, saying that there could be no better time for a female governor than now.
Speaking with DAILY POST in Abuja, the aspirant, who is a graduate of Chemistry Education from the University of Ilorin, lamented that the democratic structure in Kogi State, which she was instrumental to has been destroyed over time.
According to her, she would have waited for the next four years, but for the “emergency situations in the state,” she is contesting on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Princess Adejoh further revealed that women were the critical mass in Kogi politics, stating that they have been marginalised across the three senatorial flanks, adding that she would focus on them when she clinched the sit in the forthcoming elections.
“I was driven by passion into contesting gubernatorial election in Kogi State. I am a highly ambitious person, but this time of the day, the situation in Kogi State is an emergency one that needed intervention by a feminist.

“In the next four years or so, Kogi need to be rescued from the mess it found itself because there is no way this present situation should be tolerated further, if we must have a State.

“No well meaning indegenes who have capacity to change the game would sit folding hands. We just have one lifeline to save Kogi State the state and I am offering myself as governor.

“As a married woman, my husband has lost me now until Kogi is rescued and I commend my husband who is also not happy with the situation in Kogi State.

“I have mobilised women to the Villa during the late President Yar’adua to negotiate reopening of our Universities when lecturers went on strike.”

“We laid democratic foundation in Kogi State and we were responsible for the election of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999 and the election of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in 2003.

“We all worked for the presidential campaign team that produced late President Musa Yar’adua and former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.”
She argued that the political dynamics in Kogi State requires women who are naturally good managers to manage the resources as well as tribal diversities for a better society.

Governor El-Rufai’s Son Threatens President Buhari Over Appointments

Bello, a son of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed concerns over recent appointment made by President Muhammadu Buhari, threatening to protest the re-appointment of some ministers and aides who served in his first term, according to a report by Sahara Report.
The Kaduna State governor’s son said if Buhari re-appoints same set of ministers, he would lose the trust of Nigerians.
“We trust you, Mr. President. It has nothing to do with partisanship. It has nothing to do with your cult following that only fools deny. But recent appointments aside, if some Ministers return, well, that trust will become very unsteady. We are not PDP, you will hear us!” Bello tweeted Friday night
However, his threat went unheeded as against expectations, President Buhari approved the re-appointment of Boss Mustapha as Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff to the President.
A statement by Presidential Spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said both appointments took effect from May 29, 2019. Meanwhile, many Nigerians, opposition parties, economists and foreign investors have expressed worries over the delay in President Buhari’s appointment of ministers.
It appears with the latest statement by the Presidency, Buhari’s current priority is his domestic staff.
The President, who has been accused of nepotistic tendencies, reeled out the names of 11 people mostly from the northern part of the country.

I want to win AFCON for Stephen Keshi – Musa

Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, says he wants to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations trophy in honour of late coach of the side, Stephen Keshi.
Keshi last won the AFCON title for Nigeria, leading the team to victory in the 2013 edition of the tournament in South Africa, and Musa was part of the squad.
Speaking with CAF online, Musa who was one of the only three players that won the 2013 AFCON, said Keshi was like a father to him.
Musa said:
“It was such a happy occasion when we won in 2013 and we said as a team then that there is no bigger honour than winning something for your country. Now, it is the same for us this year after missing out over the last two editions.
“If we win the title, I am going to dedicate it to the late Stephen Keshi because he was like a father to me. It’s not that easy losing someone so special to you and the memories I have left of him are like a motivator.
“There are so many lessons I draw from him as a person and as a coach and that is what always keep me going. We really miss him as players and as a country and we always pray for him. It would be an honour for us if we won this for him.
“We don’t fear anyone. For us, is just to take a game at a time, focus as a team and give our best. There is no easy team at this AFCON and we know if we are to win, it will come as a result of very hard work.”
